Los Angeles Angels first baseman C.J. Cron will undergo surgery Tuesday to fix an impingement in his left thumb, the club announced.

According to the release, Cron has been experiencing moderate pain at the base of his thumb, and requires an arthroscopic debridement to relieve the pain.

Cron is expected to make a full recovery in six-to-eight weeks, and should be healthy for spring training.

The Angels' slugger slashed .278/.325/.467 with 16 home runs in 116 games this season for Los Angeles.
