Five people who attended the Washington Nationals' 4-3 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday had to be rescued by two nearby fisherman after their boat struck an unknown object in the Potomac River and began to take on water, according to Justin Moyer and Dana Hedgpeth of The Washington Post.

Authorities say the incident occurred at about 2 a.m. ET on Friday, just under two hours after Clayton Kershaw recorded his first career save to eliminate the Nationals in Game 5 of the National League Division Series.

According to a spokesman for the U.S. Coast Guard, the fishermen heard the impact of the collision and rescued the five passengers before taking them safely to shore. After being notified of the incident by the fisherman, the U.S. Coast Guard then informed D.C. Harbor Control, who proceeded to impound the sinking boat.

No injuries were reported in the incident, though an investigation is ongoing, D.C. police said, according to The Washington Post.
