Padres' Tyson Ross: Undergoes surgery Thursday

Ross underwent thoracic outlet syndrome surgery Thursday, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Part of Ross's surgery included the removal of rib to help alleviate the pain that he'd been experiencing. At this point in time, it's entirely possible that he could be ready to return by the start of the 2017 campaign, but more information should be available as his rehab gets underway.
