Padres' Tyson Ross: To undergo procedure on shoulder
Ross is set to undergo surgery on his shoulder Thursday for thoracic outlet syndrome, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. The procedure carries with it a 4-to-6 month timetable.
Analysis:
Ross still has a chance to be ready for the start of spring training, but that would require him being ready toward the early end of the timetable. The issue cost him a large chunk of the season, holding Ross to just one start in 2016. If all goes well with his rehab, Ross could be good to go by the time the regular season rolls around in 2017.
