Tebow goes hitless, faceplants into wall in AFL debut

Tim Tebow put his football frame to work during his Arizona Fall League debut in Glendale on Tuesday.

Two weeks after the former NFL quarterback hit a home run on the first pitch he saw in the instructional league, Tebow's first taste of the AFL was decidedly less spectacular, as the aspiring New York Mets outfielder went 0-or-3 with a pair of groundouts over five innings of work.

The hulking 6-foot-3, 245-pounder did make an impact in the field, though - literally. Playing left field for the Scottsdale Scorpions, Tebow slammed into the outfield wall while chasing a ball he was unable to corral, making for an image that quickly went viral on social media.

"I’ve been hit harder," Tebow told reporters, according to MLB.com's Jake Rill. "I’m OK."
