Reds' Jon Moscot: Outrighted to minors
Moscot (elbow) was outrighted off the major league roster Monday.
Analysis:
This was simply a procedural move, as Moscot went under the knife for Tommy John surgery in July and will likely miss most, if not all, of the 2017 season as a result. The 25-year-old has struggled mightily in the majors in his brief career, so he likely won't be guaranteed a spot in the rotation even once he's healthy enough to return to the mound.
