Alex Anthopoulos appears to be loving life in Los Angeles.

Anthopoulos, the former Toronto Blue Jays general manager and reigning Executive of the Year who's worked in the Dodgers' front office this season, reportedly declined an overture from the Arizona Diamondbacks to interview for their vacant GM position, according to Jon Heyman of Today's Knuckleball.

It's believed that he turned Arizona down out of concerns for his family, as he apparently doesn't want to relocate his children for the second time in two years; Anthopoulos, along with his wife and two kids, moved from Toronto to Los Angeles when he joined the Dodgers. He would, however, be open to taking a GM job if "some extraordinary opportunity" came about, per Heyman.

Earlier this year Anthopoulos pulled himself out of the race for the Minnesota Twins' top executive job for similar reasons.

Anthopoulos, a native of Montreal, was the Blue Jays GM from October 2009 through 2015. His work building last year's Blue Jays - who made the franchise's first postseason berth in 22 years - earned him Sporting News Executive of the Year honors, though he left Toronto shortly thereafter.

Executives who have been linked to the open Diamondbacks position made vacant by Dave Stewart's firing include MLB senior vice president for baseball operations Kim Ng, former Dodgers GM Ned Colletti, and the D-Backs' current assistant GM Bryan Minniti.
