Angels' Nick Buss: Designated for assignment

Buss was designated for assignment Wednesday.

Analysis:

The Angels claimed a couple Yankees relievers (Blake Parker and Kirby Yates), so they needed to clear room on the 40-man roster, and Buss was a casualty. A 29-year-old outfielder with just 110 MLB plate appearances under his belt, Buss has yet to show he's anything more than a Quadruple-A hitter.
