Drake LaRoche, the 14-year-old son of recent retiree Adam LaRoche, may have worn out his welcome with the Chicago White Sox, but they're happy to have the kid pop by in Washington.

Along with his dad, who helped the Nationals to two division titles in his four seasons with the club, Drake LaRoche will throw out the ceremonial first pitch in the nation's capital Saturday ahead of Game 2 of the National League Division Series between Washington and the Los Angeles Dodgers, the team confirmed.

Though the Nationals will welcome the youngster back with open arms, the teenaged LaRoche caused headaches for the White Sox front office earlier this year, and his father abruptly retired during spring training when general manager Ken Williams asked him to scale back the amount of time his son was spending in the clubhouse.

Report: White Sox players, staff complained about LaRoche's son

"I'm not saying this is the way everybody should raise their kid," LaRoche told ESPN after "choosing (his) son over (his teammates). "I'm saying I was given the privilege to raise my kid this way by some awesome teams and managers and GMs. Can every parent do it? No. But can we spend more time with our kids? Sure."
