Rockies' Chad Bettis: Beats Brewers with quality start Sunday
Bettis (14-8) allowed one run on eight hits and three walks while striking out five across 6.2 innings in Sunday's win against the Brewers.
Analysis:
Bettis bounced back from a couple of rough outings with a quality start to cap off the season, routinely escaping jams throughout the game. He had an inconsistent season, as he will finish with a 4.79 ERA and 1.41 WHIP, but Bettis set career marks for innings pitched, wins and strikeouts; he should again be a member of the starting rotation in 2017.
