Cardinals' Jedd Gyorko: Goes deep for second straight night

Gyorko went 1-for-3 with a solo homer in a 7-0 victory over the Pirates on Friday.

Analysis:

The infielder actually had the only hit off Pirates star rookie pitcher Tyler Glasnow. Bombs on back-to-back days entering the weekend has put Gyorko one shy of the 30-home run mark. He has hit 21 of those homers since the All-Star break. In addition to the bombs, Gyorko is hitting .239 with 57 RBI and 55 runs in 393 at-bats.
