Giants' Denard Span: Not starting Friday

Span is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Dodgers, according to CSN's Alex Pavlovic.

Analysis:

Span is having a brutal month of September, hitting just .183, so manager Bruce Bochy decided to hold him out of the lineup for the key matchup with the Dodgers. Gorkys Hernandez will get the start in center field in Span's place.
