Yankees' Masahiro Tanaka: Hopes to make Saturday start

Tanaka (forearm) played catch Tuesday (25 throws from 60 feet) and plans to start Saturday even it the Yankees have been eliminated from the playoff picture, YES Network's Meredith Marakovits reports.

Analysis:

The Yankees have yet to confirm that Tanaka will make the start Saturday agains the Orioles, but it's encouraging that he is personally planning on taking the hill, regardless of what is on the line.
