Nationals' Jose Lobaton: Starting Tuesday

Lobaton will catch and bat eighth Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

The 31-year-old appears to have taken over primary catcher duties by default, with Wilson Ramos done for the year after suffering a torn ACL. Lobaton provides some value behind the plate, but he's done little of note at the dish in his career and he recently missed time due to ankle issues. Pedro Severino and Spencer Kieboom should also see work over the final week.
