Nationals' Daniel Murphy: Remains shut down

Manager Dusty Baker said Monday that Murphy (upper leg) remains shut down, but he expects him to be ready for the postseason, Mark Zuckerman of MASN reports.

Analysis:

Murphy is not in the lineup Monday, and Baker's comments point to him missing further action -- possibly the rest of the regular season. Stephen Drew and Wilmer Difo will continue holding down second base for the Nationals until Murphy is ready to get back on the field.
