Giants' Eduardo Nunez: To get MRI Monday

Nunez (strained right hamstring) will get an MRI on Monday and would not rule out returning Tuesday against the Rockies, the San Jose Mercury News' Andrew Baggarly reports.

Analysis:

The Giants are off Monday, so if Nunez returned Tuesday that would mean the hamstring strain didn't cost him any time. He doesn't believe the injury is serious, so it certainly sounds like a return before the end of the season is possible. Nunez suffered the injury while stealing his 40th base of the season Sunday.
