Giants' Albert Suarez: Fails to go five innings Friday

Suarez gave up three runs on five hits over four innings Friday. He walked one and struck out one in a loss to the Padres.

Analysis:

All of Friday's damage was done on a first-inning three-run homer off the bat of Wil Myers. Suarez failed to go five innings for the first time this month, breaking a streak of four straight five-inning appearances. He hadn't gone more than five innings in any of those starts, so he's consistent but not desirable for fantasy purposes. With an off day coming up Monday, there is a chance Suarez's next turn in the rotation is skipped, which would leave the rookie with just one more scheduled regular-season start.
