Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

It's not often that Vin Scully gets to display his singing voice. But, then again, it's not often someone gets to be part of their own retirement send-off after 67 years of being the best in the business.

Los Angeles Dodgers fans got a special treat Friday night as part of the celebration of Scully's memorable career when the 88-year-old sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the seventh-inning stretch. His beautiful baritone voice rang out across Dodger Stadium as the fans joined in. When he was finished, the crowd of more than 50,000 - plus several players in both the Dodgers and Colorado Rockies dugouts - gave him a lengthy standing ovation.

This isn't the first time Scully sang the famous ballpark song during the stretch. After legendary Chicago Cubs announcer Harry Caray died in 1998, Scully paid tribute to his friend by singing the song at Wrigley Field.
