Broadcaster Vin Scully's career has almost reached its conclusion, and on Friday, during a ceremony before the Los Angeles Dodgers' game against the Colorado Rockies, the man, the myth, and the legend thanked the fans at Dodger Stadium for supporting him through his 67 years behind the microphone.

In 1950, Scully first joined Red Barber and Connie Desmond in the radio and television booths of the then-Brooklyn Dodgers, and, over the course of his storied career, has been responsible for some of baseball most historic calls, including the 715th home run of Hank Aaron's career, a perfect game by Sandy Koufax in 1965, and Kirk Gibson's dramatic World Series walk-off home run on in 1988.

The many stories told by Scully over the years not only informed, but entertained. That's exactly what he continued to do Friday, when he jokingly touched on what he intends to do upon retiring.
