On Friday night, two days after Baltimore Orioles center fielder Adam Jones bemoaned how eerily empty Camden Yards has been down the stretch, 37,815 fans showed up to watch their scuffling club try to keep pace in the American League wild-card race.

Mark Trumbo did his best to make sure they keep coming out.

With nobody out in the bottom of the 12th inning, his team deadlocked at 2-2 with the Arizona Diamondbacks thanks to Matt Wieters' game-tying blast in the ninth, Trumbo clobbered a Matt Koch offering over the wall in left, snapping his club's four-game losing streak with his second walk-off homer of 2016.

Trumbo's extra-inning heroics - and MLB-leading 44th homer - helped the Orioles keep pace with the Detroit Tigers, who remain half-game ahead of Baltimore for the second wild-card spot after shellacking the Kansas City Royals, 8-3, at Comerica Park.
