Watch: Brewers record 8th triple play in franchise history

MLB.com

The Milwaukee Brewers have zero chance of making the postseason, but that doesn't mean they can't make things exciting for the fans, which is exactly what they did Friday against the Cincinnati Reds.

In the game's first inning, the Brewers recorded the eighth triple play in franchise history when Joey Votto slashed a liner at first baseman Chris Carter, who snagged the ball, stepped on first, and tossed it to second.

The triple play was the seventh in MLB this season. That's the most in one campaign since seven were turned in 1991.

It was also the second of the year for Milwaukee. Coincidentally, starter Zach Davies has been on the hill for both.
