Twins' Pat Dean: Impresses in no-decision
Dean threw five innings in Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader, allowing only one run on three hits and a walk while striking out five. He didn't factor into the decision.
Analysis:
The southpaw kept a dangerous Detroit lineup at bay with his soft-tossing stuff before the Minnesota bullpen caved late in the game. While his 6.71 ERA over 59 innings probably should be slightly better, given his 5.42 FIP, he's still not an exciting arm.
