Padres' Jon Jay: Out of Thursday's lineup

Jay is not in the lineup Thursday against the Giants.

Analysis:

Jay has started all but one game since returning from a forearm injury earlier in the month, but he'll head to the bench for a day off now that the Padres have their top prospects from Triple-A up in the big leagues. Hunter Renfroe will take over duties in right field for the night.
