Radio host will 'literally eat crow' after Yelich's 20th HR

Christian Yelich is literally making a man eat his words.

Brendan Tobin, who hosts the morning show on Miami radio station 790 The Ticket, originally doubted the Miami Marlins outfielder - who had never hit more than nine homers in a season - could reach the 20 home-run mark this year. Tobin had such little doubt that he pronounced on the air that he'd "literally eat crow" if it happened.

Well, Brendan, it's time to get cooking. On Wednesday night, Yelich launched home run No. 20 off Max Scherzer, forcing Tobin to make good on his promise.

In case Tobin had forgotten about his little wager - he hadn't - Mr. Yelich took to Twitter Thursday morning with a little reminder.

Tobin, being a good sport, quickly responded to Yelich, and made it clear he won't back down.

"I'm a man of my word," Tobin told Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald in an interview earlier this month. "I'm not running from it. I'm going to sit down, tuck a napkin under my shirt and eat every single piece."

A date for Tobin's dinner hasn't been set. Whenever he does sit down to eat, though, his preference would appear to be that the crow is cooked without breading.
