For a second straight start, Madison Bumgarner has broken a franchise record.

The San Francisco Giants ace set the single-season franchise record for strikeouts by a left-hander on Saturday with his 245th of the year to best Cy Seymour's mark set in 1898. This comes after Bumgarner broke the franchise record for career strikeouts by a lefty on Monday.

It's been another strong year for the four-time All-Star, who continues to add to his career high in strikeouts. He entered his start Saturday against the San Diego Padres with a 14-9 record to go with a career-low 2.57 ERA.
