Indians' Andrew Miller: Picks up ninth win with 1.2 relief innings
Miller picked up his ninth win of the season Tuesday, as he held the Royals in check for 1.2 innings, striking out three before Brandon Guyer hit a walkoff single to win the game 2-1.
Analysis:
Miller hasn't seen a save opportunity for the Indians since August, but got his second straight relief win Tuesday. He's allowed just one hit and one walk over his last six outings while striking out 11, lowering his ERA to 1.55. Miller is arguably the best setup man in the game, and his stellar 14.7 K/9 makes him unusually valuable for a non-closing relief pitcher.
