Nationals' Jayson Werth: Sits out Tuesday

Werth is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Marlins, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

Werth is only hitting .217 over his past 30 games, and with tough right-hander Jose Fernandez taking the hill for Miami, manager Dusty Baker decided it was a good time to get the outfielder a night off. Brian Goodwin will take over in left field for the evening.
