Watch: Cespedes casually boots routine fly ball

MLB.com

Wake up, Yoenis Cespedes.

The New York Mets left fielder is having a season to remember at the plate - which could lead him to millions of dollars as a free agent - but might want to stop snoozing in the outfield.

Cespedes put on a rather lazy defensive display while chasing Max Kepler's routine fly ball Friday, and the result was an embarrassing drop that put Kepler on first base and left Mets manager Terry Collins shaking his head.

No damage was done, though, as Bartolo Colon immediately picked off Kepler and got out of the inning with his shutout intact.
