Price lined up to start game No. 162 against Blue Jays

It seems the Boston Red Sox had a very specific game in mind when they decided to reshuffle their rotation late last week.

Manager John Farrell said Monday ahead of Boston's series opener with the Baltimore Orioles that the way the current rotation is lined up, David Price would get the start in the Red Sox final game of the season on Oct. 2.

"He falls on 162, yes," Farrell told reporters.

The Toronto Blue Jays visit Fenway Park for a three-game set to close out the regular season, and the division rivals are separated by just two games in the standings.

Both teams have split the first 16 games of their season series, though the Blue Jays are 4-3 at Fenway.

After a rough start to his tenure with the Red Sox, Price has gone 7-0 over his last seven starts, and owns a 2.16 ERA. The left-hander is 1-1 with a 2.66 ERA in three starts against the Blue Jays this season.
