Rangers' Ian Desmond: Building past 20-20

Desmond went 2-for-3 with his 22nd homer and a walk against the Mariners on Thursday.

Analysis:

He's already joined the 20-20 club, but Desmond isn't about to stop there. With four two-hit games in his last six contests, the 30-year-old shortstop-turned-outfielder appears poised to keep up his brisk offensive pace over the remainder of the season. He still strikes out a lot, but Desmond's perfectly capable of delivering a high BABIP, although this year's .354 is a career high.
