Tigers' Justin Upton: Stays hot with 22nd homer

Upton went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a pair of strikeouts against the White Sox on Tuesday.

Analysis:

While Upton is hitting just .241 on the season, he has been on fire of late, and now has seven home runs in his last 15 games, hitting .321 over that span. The power surge comes at a crucial time for the Tigers, who are sitting a game out of the second AL wild card spot. There's also good reason to think that Upton will stay hot, as the Tigers play the Twins six times over the next two weeks. The Twins boast the highest team ERA in the league at 5.26.
