Orioles' Chris Davis: Expects to play Wednesday

Davis, who left Tuesday's game with a sore left palm, said the ailment has been bothering him since April and expects to be in the lineup Wednesday, the Baltimore Sun's Eduardo Encina reports.

Davis is not the type of player who would ask to get a game off, so it's not surprising that he expects to be in Wednesday's lineup. However, his owners would be wise to check back on his status prior to Wednesday's game, as the O's have a more than competent replacement option against southpaw Drew Smyly in righty-hitting Steve Pearce.
