Royals' Alex Gordon: Rejoins lineup Monday
Gordon (Achilles) is back in the lineup Monday against the Twins, Joel Goldberg of FOX Sports Kansas City reports. He'll play left field and bat sixth in the order.
Analysis:
After he experienced tightness in his Achilles during Saturday's game, Gordon was rested for Sunday's series finale with the Tigers for what appears to have been precautionary purposes. The outfielder evidently felt fine after going through warm-up drills and batting practice Monday, so he should be in store for a full slate of starts during the week. Gordon is batting .242 with seven homers, three steals, 17 RBI and 28 runs in 161 at-bats since the All-Star break.
