Pirates' Jung Ho Kang: Monday activation on tap

Kang (shoulder) is scheduled to rejoin the Pirates for Monday's series opener against the Cardinals, Stephen Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Analysis:

Kang has made two rehab starts for Triple-A Indianapolis, launching a two-run homer in his first and going 0-for-2 with two walks in his second. He'll get a third rehab outing Sunday, and if all goes well, will be back with the team for Monday's series opener against their NL Central rivals.
