Twins' Joe Mauer: Not in Friday's lineup
Mauer is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox, according to Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
Analysis:
Mauer will be held out Friday with manager Paul Molitor looking to get an extra right-handed bat in the lineup against White Sox starter Carlos Rodon. Trevor Plouffe will man first base Friday in Mauer's place, and Eduardo Escobar will fill in for Plouffe at the hot corner.
