Mets' Jose Reyes: Continues to spark Mets offense

Reyes led the way for the Mets on Tuesday, going 4-for-5 with a double and a pair of runs scored while batting leadoff in a 7-4 win.

Analysis:

Reyes raised his batting average to .300 with the four-hit night, and now has 25 runs in 33 games with the Mets. Reyes has been a key pickup for the Mets, sparking what was an anemic offense that is still 28th in the MLB in runs scored, but is a respectable 12th in August. Reyes' six steals actually lead the team, though they're a far cry from 37 per year he's averaged over the course of his career.
