Cardinals' Kolten Wong: Homers, steals a base in win over Brewers
Wong homered, stole a base and drove home two runs in a 2-for-4 game Monday against Milwaukee.
Analysis:
The Cardinals were resting Greg Garcia on Monday, letting Wong make a statement in his first start since Aug. 19. Garcia's .256/.375/.359 line still outclasses Wong's .240/.325/.333, the Hawaiian will likely remain primarily in a bench role. Still, a performance like this will at least make the Cardinals more comfortable using him to spot infielders like Jedd Gyorko and Jhonny Peralta down the stretch.
