Angels' Cam Bedrosian: Dealing with blood clot

Bedrosian (finger) is unlikely to pitch again this season after discovering a blood clot near his right armpit, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Analysis:

Bedrosian is currently on the DL with flexor tendinitis in the middle finger of his right hand, but now he has a bigger issue to deal with as he weighs a decision between undergoing surgery or a regimen of blood-thinning medication. Both remedies for the clot will require the righty, who's already been out nearly all month, to further delay his return to the mound. The 24-year-old pitched 40.1 innings over 45 appearances this year, posting a 1.12 ERA and 1.09 WHIP.
