Nationals' Tanner Roark: Tosses seven shutout in win
Roark (14-7) was fantastic against the Phillies on Monday, earning the win by tossing seven shutout innings. He allowed four hits, walked one and struck out five.
Analysis:
Roark bounced back beautifully from a five-run outing his last time out. The righty has been remarkably consistent for the Nationals this season, posting an ERA of 3.56 or lower in each month. He's not a big strikeout pitcher, but with a 2.87 ERA and 1.17 WHIP, he's more than made up for it. Roark's next start will come Sunday against the Mets.
