Nationals' Stephen Strasburg: Tossing bullpen Monday

Strasburg (elbow) was observed throwing a bullpen session Monday afternoon, Mark Zuckerman of MASN reports.

Analysis:

The ace played some light catch last week, but this is his first action off of a mound since hitting the DL a week ago. While it's still too early to discern whether Strasburg will miss more than the requisite 15 days, this certainly has to be viewed as an encouraging sign.
