Even current MLBers are allowed to have heroes in the bigs.
As the Kansas City Royals finished their series against the Boston Red Sox over the weekend, Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer walked away with a pretty special gift.
Not only did David Ortiz give him a signed jersey, but he added some extra stuff on the back of the uniform.
Ortiz added some of his bigger accomplishments, such as "500 HR Club", "10x All-Star", "World Series MVP" and "3x World Series Champ."
Hosmer is allowed to get excited over a big-time autograph, too.
