Padres' Luis Perdomo: Records complete game win Sunday thanks to defense

Perdomo (7-7) gave up just one run on six hits and three walks while striking out three in a complete-game win over the Marlins on Sunday.

Analysis:

He needed just 99 pitches to seal the deal thanks in large part to the club-record six double plays the Padres turned in the game, including an unassisted one by Perdomo himself. He's now allowed just two runs (one earned) over his last two starts to bring his ERA down to a still-ghastly 5.84, the lowest it's been all season. However, he could have a hard time recording a third straight quality start in his next outing, a road tilt against the Dodgers on Sunday.
