Brewers' Hernan Perez: Smacks pair of homers in Saturday loss

Perez went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and a solo shot in Saturday's 9-6 loss to the Pirates.

Analysis:

The emerging infielder opened the scoring for the Brewers with a 398-foot shot in the first that drove in Scooter Gennett and Ryan Braun, before adding a solo shot in the third to give Milwaukee a 5-1 lead at the time. The round-trippers were Perez's first since Aug. 18, while the multi-hit effort was his seventh of the month. The 25-year-old's breakout season includes a .281/.308/.470 line with 11 doubles, a pair of triples, 13 homers and 47 RBI.
