Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Stymies Rays over seven innings Saturday
Keuchel (9-12) gave up two earned runs on nine hits and a walk over seven innings in Saturday's 6-2 victory over the Rays. He struck out four.
Analysis:
The lefty managed to stay out of trouble against a Rays squad that's often struggled making consistent contact against southpaws this season. Keuchel notched 11 swinging strikes overall and had only one glaring mistake, a 411-foot two-run homer by Bobby Wilson in the fifth. The 28-year-old now has consecutive quality starts, as well as victories in three of his last four trips to the mound. He'll look to keep the momentum going when he takes on the Rangers next Friday.
