Orioles' Dylan Bundy: Takes loss in brief outing against Yankees

Bundy (7-5) allowed five runs on seven hits and three walks in 4.0 innings Saturday against the Yankees. He struck out six.

Analysis:

The 23-year-old has pitched very well in August (3.10 ERA) outside of an understandably tough matchup against Boston and this rough start against the Yankees. Bundy continues to post a solid strikeout rate (8.2 K/9) even after transitioning to the starting rotation. Hopefully the young righty learned from this outing, since he faces the Yankees again in his next scheduled start Friday, this time at home in Baltimore.
