Tigers' Justin Upton: Blasts 17th homer in Friday win
Upton went 2-for-4 with a double and two-run homer in Friday's 4-2 victory over the Angels.
Analysis:
He snapped a 1-1 tie in the sixth with a 419-foot shot to left that plated J.D. Martinez, his fourth homer in the last five games. Upton is still struggling at the plate average-wise in August, but is starting to make consistently hard contact, with three doubles and all four of the aforementioned round-trippers since Aug. 20.
