Diamondbacks' A.J. Pollock: Activated, batting second Friday
Pollock (elbow) was activated from the DL and is in the lineup for Friday's game against the Reds, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
Following a successful 12-game minor league rehab stint, Pollock will slot in against lefty Brandon Finnegan for his long-awaited 2016 debut. Pollock, on the heels of a .315/.367/.498 showing last season, was treated as a borderline first-round pick in drafts this spring before he fractured his elbow. He should be deployed in most formats right away even though manager Chip Hale suggested Pollock will only play two out of every three days to start.
