Blue Jays' Jason Grilli: Posting career-best numbers with Jays
Grilli allowed a walk and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning in Thursday's loss to the Angels.
Analysis:
Manager John Gibbons got Grilli some action Thursday after the right-hander hadn't pitched in five days. Since debuting with the Jays on June 1, Grilli has three wins, two saves and 13 holds while posting a career-best 1.52 ERA and 0.81 WHIP over 31 appearances (29.2 innings). He has become one of the most valuable fantasy assets in those leagues that value relievers in set-up roles.
