Nationals' Jayson Werth: Homers in Thursday's win

Werth went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and scored twice in Thursday's game against the Orioles.

Analysis:

Werth's fourth-inning blast provided all the offense Max Scherzer and the Nats would need in Thursday's shutout victory. The home run was the veteran's fifth in August, his best in total in any month this season. Despite his game-winning drive, Werth is still just 3-for-20 over his last six games, dropping his batting average to .251 through 411 at-bats this year.
