Mariners' Nelson Cruz: Returns to lineup Thursday

Cruz (back) is in the lineup Thursday against the White Sox, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

Cruz was lifted early from Wednesday's contest after experiencing back spasms, but the issue was apparently minor enough that he'll return to the lineup without missing any time. The 36-year-old will DH and bat cleanup against Chicago starter Anthony Ranaudo.
